Review

The book itself is a nice size and of excellent printing quality. For each page, there is a full-page illustration next to a full page of the story. There are 40 stories in all, making it a perfect devotional style book for little ones.
Since we received it before Easter time, we have been incorporating it into our daily morning basket. It really is a beautiful addition to our basket at this time of year. It makes it easy for parents who want to do something leading up to Resurrection Day(Easter) but aren’t sure where to start.
I would like to see the description explain that it uses the ESV.
My boys are 6 and 8. We read ALOT of bible in our home so they get excited with picture style books portraying the truths that they are told over and over again. My oldest son in particular really took to this book. There were key stories he wanted me to read over and over.
Even though it says, The Easter Storybook, this book could easily be used as an all year round New Testament devotional. It’s perfect in my opinion for morning basket time with kids aged 2-12.
Each story only takes about five minutes to read making it work really well for littles. You also could go into your own bible for a longer devotional with all the verses mentioned.
Books that can be used with all ages are excellent in the homeschooling home. The Easter Storybook is one of those books. It is multifaceted from being just a leisurely read or can be used as a homeschool spine to a 40-day devotional experience with coordinating crafts, notebooking, copywork, and different exercises to really soak in the days leading to Resurrection Sunday and why we celebrate as Christians.
Go and read the other reviews on the crew to see if the Easter Storybook is a good fit for your home.
