PREPARE FOR COVID-19
Dear Reader:
However you have made it here, welcome. May the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
There is ALOT of misinformation going on about the coronavirus. This is by far the biggest most impactful thing that has happened to the millennial generation.
As you are searching for answers, I am glad you have come here. I will not expose all of the conspiracies surrounding this coronavirus in this article but I will encourage you to seek the truth. I also am not using this platform to promote fear, worry, or concern.
I wasn’t always a born again Christian. At one point I would’ve mocked all things in the Bible.
If you are seeking answers to life’s questions. Read the Bible. If you have a lack of peace in your spirit, pray to God, read his Word, and be renewed.
Rant
If I receive another email from another influencer/blogger/business telling me to not give in to fear. Telling me it’s just going to be a few week quarantine. Or worse yet, that life is just normal. I be like:
I mean I went to Costco(I live on the Big Island) and they were only letting in small groups of people at a time. The wait to get in the store was over 2 hours. I was blessed to be able to be the first group in.
When I walked out of the store, the line was up to a 3-4 hour wait! LIFE IS NOT NORMAL ANYMORE.
I am a big believer that the Bible is true. God has given us His plan. It is clear as day. And yet, everyone just sits back and is thinking things can’t actually go down.
I’m here to offer a different perspective. I’m here to give permission to those of you holding off on your gut instincts of something is not right.
God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of peace and of a sound mind.
A SOUND MIND
What is wrong with preparing for the worst? We live in a consumer society. Most people don’t even know how to bake bread if needed. Let alone how to garden. I have talked to people who think I’m nuts and fearful for panic shopping.
I am not afraid. It is my responsibility as a wife and mother to take care of my home. I live on an island that could be cut off(worst case scenario) from goods. I’ve been that woman in regret too many times in my life. Well not now.
Panic shop
I mostly write to tell you, it’s ok to panic shop. Not because I did or still am. But because something deep in my soul is saying PREPARE!!! So if you’ve felt it too, girl stop reading and GO TO COSTCO!
I’ve never been the conventional type to follow blindly.
I do not write this to inflict fear or more confusion. Circumstances have already done that to the world. As a born again believer, God has given me a sense of peace. But from a point of logic let’s look at the facts:
- Schools are closed all over the country. Some for weeks, others have already stated closure for the rest of the year.
- Stores all over the nation have bare shelves and can’t keep stock in.
- The EU and Costa Rica, possibly more countries, have closed borders to non-residents.
- Major corporations and businesses have sent home employees and told them to work remotely until further notice.
- MAJOR CEO’s have all resigned in the last week from over 20 major companies like Disney, Google, and Tesla.
- The stock market has never seen lows like it has since it was created.
- The FED threw money into the stock market all to see it plunge further the next day.
- WORST: people all over the world are getting ill and dying.
So rationally, logically, let’s think about this.
It’s okay to prepare. Prudence is a good thing. Being prudent is not fearful, but rather wise.
ITEMS TO GET
There are many items you can easily still stock up on that will be used regardless if everything turns back to “normal”.
- 5-30 lb bags of rice
- 50 lb bag of flour
- LOTS OF HONEY
- Maple Syrup
- Jams
- Bags of beans/legumes/lentils
- Bags of potatoes, onions, and carrots
- Bars of laundry soap
- Bar soap
- 1-month extra normal food supply
- Tomato sauce
- Pasta
- Seeds for sprouting like mung beans
- Olive Oil
- Coconut Oil
- Powdered Milk
- Dehydrated Vegetables
- Manuka Honey
- Liposomal C
- Vitamin C powder
- Emergency seed supply, if you live where you can garden
- Mason jars
- Cabbages
- Tea
- Chia seeds
I would advise any of my closest friends and family to have at least 2 months of food. If you want to prepare beyond that, go for it.
I personally only have maybe 3-5 month supply of food. I do have enough rice, tea, and chia seeds that if needed we could live while our garden is growing food. I am blessed to live off-grid with chickens, and a cow surrounded by fruit trees.
Will God always provide for our needs. Yes absolutely! However, if you’ve felt the call to prepare. Go and prepare. And at worst, things return to normal and you don’t have to buy groceries for a few months.
But on the flip side, if things go down. If the rapture happens, and the great tribulation comes about sooner than most think, you will be grateful you prepared. We don’t know how much we will have to endure as Christians.
I realize some of you on here may be thrown into having children home without school. We homeschool and I’ve compiled an easy list on where to find homeschool supplies and curriculums here.
If you have no idea of what the gospel is or what the rapture is, please I beg you, learn about salvation today. CLICK HERE. and HERE!
I will leave comments open for anyone who feels led to post links to what they have researched and found. However please note, that I may not condone what is left in the comment section. I only want this platform to be used to Glorify God and inform others of the imminent return of Jesus Christ. I completely understand that the Bible says no man knows the hour of His return, only the Father in heaven.
May the peace of God be with you.
Amen sister! Keep praying!
